We’re Yernie and Yeng Vang

A husband-and-wife photography team capturing timeless moments for couples who love nostalgia — the record players, the film photos, and handwritten cards.

Yernie’s Story

When I was a little girl, my family told me I would cry if I wasn’t in a picture.

I guess you can say my love for photos started then.

My parents came to America from Laos with very little, but among the few things they carried with them were photographs.

Those photos told more than the story of our family. They told a story of love, survival, sacrifice, hardship, and incredible beauty — precious enough to travel across oceans and be passed down for generations.

And that's what I want your photos to do. Long after the flowers have wilted and the dress is packed away — I want you to look at your gallery and feel it all over again.

Yengka and I literally fell in love through a camera lens — and we've never stopped photographing people in love since.

We were both art students, so everything we create is rooted in composition, light, and storytelling. But more than the technical stuff, it's the feeling we're always chasing. Yengka still gets choked up at father-daughter dances. I still cry at the vows. Every single time.

Because we're married, we have a secret language on wedding days — a single look across the room and we already know who's getting which shot. That kind of communication means nothing gets missed. Ever.

Yeng, on the other hand, notices the quiet moments: the tears in your father's eyes, children running across the dance floor, and the way your grandparents hold hands during your first dance.

Yeng and I are parents to four little ones. We have three boys and one girl.

In our free time, we love making memories with them. It can be as simple as going to the park, going to an amusement park, or their favorite, the beach! Their smiles and joy are at the core of everything we do.

I love to bake and create pretty desserts while Yeng is an amazing cook. We romanticize the idea of opening up a little brunch shop every now and then.
